Florent Juchniewicz

Biography

Florent Juchniewicz is a member of the Game Lab, the Gameloft Paris’s R&D team. As a game designer, he creates new and innovative game prototypes, and the best ones are developed into full-fledged games. Game Lab is like a gaming laboratory where Florent and the rest of the team let their imaginations run wild and experiment with the most fantastic game concepts.

The sky is the limit, and every day is a new adventure!

Florent is 25. He joined the Game Lab 3 years ago after graduating from Supinfogame Rubika in Valenciennes as a game design intern. He is not afraid of experimenting with new ways to have fun and to tell stories and wants to help create innovative and enjoyable games, trying to find inspiration everywhere.

What he really enjoys with this job is the fact that one can quickly try out various ideas: one day you are creating a giant dragon hunt, and one month later, you’re designing pirate ship battles!

When a prototype is released in the stores, the team can see how players react to them and is learning a lot from them. This input is very important because in the end the games are created for them.

Each prototype release is a memorable moment, as well as participation in a game jam with the Narrative Team. This is where experiment new ways of telling stories are experimented, which is a lot of fun!

To create fresh new games, one really needs to keep updated on new movies, shows, and everything else that might boost one’s creativity.
