Adam Kelly

Biography

In 2019, the young Irish scientist, Skerries Community College graduate Adam Kelly, won the First Prize at the EUCYS competition, held in Sofia, Bulgaria. He was given the chance to represent Ireland at the prestigious event with his project "Optimizing the simulation of general quantum circuits" after a unanimous approval by the national judges at the BTYSTE competition in Dublin.

I'm in terrible shock, Adam said. What inspired me were all my teachers and the people who helped me along the way and inspired me.

His software has direct applications in quantum device testing, quantum algorithm design and quantum supremacy research. No wonder Adam acquired an asteroid named after him the same year he won the Arizona International Award for his work in quantum computing.

In 2019, Adam was also honored to delivering a speech and present at the poster session and was invited to the Lectures & Nobel Prize ceremony.

Another interesting manifestation of Adam, in addition to his participation in many prestigious scientific competitions and mathematical Olympiads around the world, is the Joint Study on the absorption of fog in microgravity, including the microgravity program of the National Research Council of Canada.

Adam Kelly is currently a student of mathematics at the University of Cambridge and part of the Evervault encryption infrastructure for developers’ team.
