In searching for a tune that would save Max's life, the Stranger Things crew wracked their brains to come up with her favorite song. The answer was Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) by Kate Bush, first released in 1985 (a year before the plot takes place).

Coldplay have added energy-producing stationary bikes to concert floors to boost environmental initiatives.

Get yor workout in and enjoy a live concert, in person, at the same time? If you’re a fan of Coldplay, that’s now a possibility, thanks to the band’s greener touring initiative that in part utilizes bike-produced energy. Featured in the band’s ongoing Music of the Spheres world tour, concertgoers can use kinetic dance floors and stationary bikes set up around the stage to quite literally power the show.

Meta shakes up music industry with new revenue sharing deal

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has unveiled a new monetization feature that seeks to share revenue between music artists and content creators on the social media platform. 

Music Revenue Sharing is designed to make it easier for creators to monetize videos even when using licensed music, with Meta championing it as “the first of its kind within the music industry,” helping the site’s content creators “access more popular music, deepening relationships with their fans.”

Pop sensation Jay Chou is taking fans on a journey through time, all the way back to the first half of the 20th century.

The singer’s music video for the latest single “Greatest Works of Art” is a homage to some of the most acclaimed artists and their works in modern art. And many of his admirers in the Chinese mainland, who have missed out on international travel due to COVID-19 border restrictions, are feeling nostalgic about European art and culture.

The Tallinn Music Week takes place in Tallinn and Narva

The international new music and city festival, the Tallinn Music Week, held annually since 2009, will take place in both the Estonian capital, Tallinn, as well as border town Narva from 4-8 May. The festival starts on 4 May in Tallinn and ends on 8 May in Narva – a town of 55,000 mainly Russian-speaking people that sits at the Estonian-Russian border.

Birgitta Festival builds a musical bridge between Estonia and Finland

The organisers of the Birgitta Festival presented the highlights of the festival, which will take place from 6 to 14 August. Mozart's opera "Don Giovanni" and Sibelius's music for the play "Tempest" will be staged in the ruins of Pirita Convent, Finnish productions of "Black Monk" and "Uniko", and a new work, the opera "Lalli", begun by Veljo Tormis and completed by Rasmus Puur.
